With something to do at every corner that is fun for all ages, your entire family will be having a blast from beginning to end, you won’t want to leave. While we’re full of exciting attractions and shows, my personal favorite thing about this area is actually the food! You know you can’t help but to agree, it’s just so good. It just wouldn’t be a Smokies vacation if you didn’t try some of our delightful restaurants, most of them being local and family owned! One of the best perks about staying with us here at Bear Crossing is that you are right smack dab in the middle of town, so all those restaurants are just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Another perk is that we have a FREE TICKETS program as a thank you for staying with us, and you just so happen to get a free ticket to a dinner show here in town, talk about a great deal! So now you just need to know where to go to have some incredible food. It’s time to take a look at some of the Best Places to Eat in Pigeon Forge!

You just woke up and it’s time for the most important meal of the day – breakfast! With so many different pancake houses to choose from, I’m sure it’s hard to narrow it down to a few to try while you’re here. Don’t worry, we’re here to help! Let’s take a look at a few of our favorites, the first one being Sawyer’s Farmhouse Restaurant. If you’re hungry, this is just the place for you! With delicious pancakes, egg dishes, and some of the best seasoned home fries around, this place will make everyone in the family happy and fully satisfied. They also have some of the best customer service I’ve ever received, I’d pick this place for breakfast any day of the week! Want to feel like you’re taking a step back into the 50’s? Mel’s Classic Diner is just the spot for you! There is nothing I love more than a diner and this one beats all of my expectations every time I stop by, there hasn’t been one meal that I haven’t enjoyed. You won’t find a better customer service oriented establishment if you tried. How can you not love a place that names their meals after characters from Happy Days and other great memories from over the decades?! While they are open all day, breakfast is when I usually like to stop by since it’s so delicious and it’s served all day! This place will have you coming back for years to come. Are you just looking for a quick bite to eat before you hit the trails? Please make sure you visit Lil Black Bear Cafe for some of the best breakfast sandwiches around! Everything is cooked to order which I love.Their bagels are delicious and the owner is truly as sweet as can be. If you like to support the locals, definitely make sure to stop by this cute and quaint restaurant, you won’t regret it! If you want to know about a few more breakfast spots, check out this post we wrote earlier in the year.

So now it’s time to talk about some good lunch spots to visit while you’re here. The first one on the list is definitely the Pigeon Forge Deli! If you’re in the mood for some soup and a sandwich, this place will check them both off the list for you and will taste so good doing so. I could eat here all week and never get sick of it, that’s how amazing the food is! With those winter chills starting to come around, you’ll need something to help keep you warm. Their beef stew and broccoli cheddar soup will have your back this season! You won’t want to miss this stop. Craving something a little different? I think that the Smokies Cuban Cafe can fill that bill. If you want some authentic white rice, black beans, and plantains, this is where you need to visit! I can’t speak highly enough about their cuban sandwich, it’s absolutely delicious! This is one place that I have to visit at least once a week, it always has me coming back for more. If you’ve been here before then I’m sure you saw this last one coming. That’s right, you have to visit the Pottery House Cafe and Grille over at the Old Mill Square if you want some of the best food in town! Here you will find some of the most delectable soups, sandwiches, and salads around. Make sure you come a bit hungry, these plates will fill you up and you’ll even have some leftovers! The best thing about this location is that it serves dinner as well and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays! This will instantly become one of your new favorite dining locations.

Now it’s time for dinner and you have to try to narrow it down to a few spots, I know it’ll be hard, but we can do it! The first place I want to mention is one that has become a true staple here in Pigeon Forge. The Old Mill Restaurant is a special place for so many visitors, it’s one that everyone mentions if they’re talking about good food in the area. You won’t be disappointed after dining here. Make sure to come hungry and ready for some incredible southern style cooking, all served family style for each member of your party to enjoy! Another amazing family style restaurant is Mama’s Farmhouse! Here you will find award winning biscuits as well as other southern favorites like fried chicken and country fried steak. Make sure to come with a big appetite because these dishes will take up the entire table and will definitely have you leaving full and with a smile on your face! Not in the mood for something served family style? No problem at all! JT Hannah’s Kitchen is one place that we love to go to. If you’re a fan of ribs, steaks, and burgers, this is definitely where you want to visit. Try the “Killin’ Me” burger, it’s one of the best burgers around if you ask me! They also offer gluten free menu options, so everyone in the family is bound to find something they love here. Don’t forget to add this one to your list when you’re in town!
