Fall. Fall ya’ll. It is here! I am giddy with enthusiasm, you see I love this season. Everything about it and I do mean everything. Mountain Colors, Fresh Air, Candy Apples, Fall Festivals, Cornstalks, Pumpkins…AND Pumpkin Pie! Who can turn down a slice of that? Yep, I am hungry now. Lucky is what you can call yourself if you have the pleasure of living in/visiting the Great Smoky Mountains during this season. Any season in the mountains is special, but the colors that flood your eyes when gazing upon smoky hills is mesmerizing. Just find a spot, lay out a blanket and lounge in awe and thankfulness. Perhaps bring a mason jar of sweet tea and cheese and crackers to balance out the whole experience. Oh and maybe that slice of pumpkin pie.

Fall in the Smokies Views

There are so many great vantage points when it comes to seeing the best views in the Smokies. Most people love to head to Cades Cove. Cades Cove is an 11 mile loop in the Smokies that shows how life once was here in the mountains. Old homesteads, mills and churches are found all through the loop, along with the most beautiful valleys and views. You can park your car and travel the many hiking trails to other homesteads and waterfalls as well. It really is a slice of heaven. Clingman’s Dome, Newfound Gap and the Foothills Parkway are also popular viewing spots! But honestly, anywhere and everywhere in the Smokies is a great vantage point. Do not miss out on the breathtaking views. Don’t let life get too busy. Don’t  forget to enjoy the simple things. That is what a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park does…brings us back to the simple  things. Also, don’t forget about our fall specials when you are planning that Smoky Mountain, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg vacation.  We would love to have you vacation with us, give us a call and experience fall in the Smokies for yourself.
