There is just something about the Fall that makes us love this season so much. Sometimes it’s all about the simple things – decorations, fall scents, pumpkin everything, football, and Halloween of course. The stores are getting all geared up and you know that it also means that Thanksgiving and Christmas will be vastly approaching. These upcoming months are such a special time to visit us here in the Smokies. The weather is a main thing that draws people to our area in the Autumn. There’s nothing better than sweater weather time and being able to enjoy a day out and about that stays in the 70’s the entire time. The wide array of colors that take over our rolling hills are absolutely beautiful and they’ll make you want to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Luckily for us, Pigeon Forge is full of exciting things to do that will keep you outside for the day by choice. You’ll love getting to take advantage of the incredible weather and all the harvest decor you’ll see throughout our charming town. It’s time to grab your favorite hoodie and get ready to enjoy a bunch of amazing Outdoor Activities in Pigeon Forge!

Dollywood

You know it isn’t a trip to Pigeon Forge if you don’t visit the park that really helped to put our town on the map so to speak. Dollywood is a family friendly park that will provide entertainment from the moment you step inside. They actually have their Harvest Festival going on right now which everyone will love getting to check out. They will have free southern gospel concerts, pumpkin inspired food dishes, artisans showing off their unique crafts, harvest decor throughout the park, and plenty of gorgeous views of the mountains all around you. The Great Pumpkin LumiNights will be happening once again and this year will be double the action! There will be thousands of individually crafted and illuminated jack-o’-lanterns spooking all throughout the park and especially in the Timber Canyon section. This is also where you will find a glow in the dark maze and face painting station, spooktacular character meet and greets, pumpkin carving demonstrations, whimsical scenes, and much more. This has become such a popular event and we’re so glad they’ve brought it back for another year and it’ll be even better than before! Dollywood truly has something for everyone to do whether you’re looking for a kiddie area or shows when you want to relax for a bit but still enjoy some entertaining. The shopping and dining is also superb, you all are sure to fall in love with our special park.
